Babou and Baby

If you have children who are old enough to watch a little television, I hope you've had a chance to catch a series that has become a real gem. I'm talking about Babou and Baby on Nickelodeon. It truly captures the adventures (and misadventures) of bringing home a new baby though the eyes of a preschool sibling.
Each segment comes on between other programs and features 4-year-old Babou. He's the big brother to his little sister Aji. We've been following the series since Babou's family first brought Aji home as a tiny little bundle. Now, she's a year old and Babou is five. Just a beautiful family. Our favorite parts are when Babou shows his strong personality by having a mini-fit and when the large extended family gets together.
You can get caught up and even watch the episodes at NickJr.com . Let us know what you think!

My son and I love Babu. Yes he is young but I do let him watch Sprout and Noggin. I was so happy to see Babu and the little Latino boy that cooks too.

I caught only a bit of it. With a 6 year old and a 1.5 yr old, this is a perfect show for me!

I have been watching noggin since I had my now 4 yr old. I VERY happy to see this babou. I am African American and my husband is Nigerian. Babou's family looks like they could be Nigerian (if not, then W. AFrican). Kudos to Noggin for showing cultural diversity AND for showing positive family images that feature families who are of color.

Babou is a very unique boy. He is actually related to me. He is my cousin. He is really awesome and has a very special place in my heart and so does Aji.

We love watching Babou and Baby and would love to see it as a regular educational show as we follows Babou going to school and I can't wait to see Aji's first day at school.
